Valve follows up its hit zombie game from last year with Left 4 Dead 2. A lot of people were afraid this was going to be mostly a rehash because of the short timespan between the release date of the first and second game. Well the naysayers should be humbled by the final product because it is indeed a genuine sequel and not just a rehash.
The core gameplay remains largely unchanged. You, 3 friends, a lot weapons, and an army of zombies between you and your destination. When you add all the cool new little tweaks such as new weapons, new modes, and new campaigns all that is what makes this sequel a much more refined and complete product than the first one. Everything they've added improves the game with nothing seeming to be added on "just for the hell of it".
So yeah its not drastically different from the first, but certainly added enough to deem this a true sequel. If you enjoyed the first, pick this up, if not then this probably isn't for you.
