Another game based on a movie that is actually pretty good, I'm loving this new trend I'm seeing. This time its a game based on the Wolverine Origins flick.
I have not seen the movie so I can't really compare it to that, but I'm pretty sure Wolverine fans will walk away from this with a big grin on their face. Aside from the fun gameplay, the other element that caught me off guard was the brutality in this game. I'm talking God of War style brutality. I figured the developers were going to shoot for the easy Teen rating to appeal to a wider demographic and stay in line with the PG13 rating from the movie, I'm glad they didn't. All the cool things you would imagine Wolverine could do with those adamantium claws that they are not allowed to show in movies due to the rating are present in this game. Decapitations, check. Severed limbs, check. The blood in this game flows like you wouldn't believe.
Yeah so a fairly lengthy campaign mode, fun beat em up style gameplay, and a savage Wolverine we've never seen before lead me to highly recommend this game.
