Microsoft and Netflix have teamed up to give xbox live subscribers the ability to stream movies directly from their xbox. They currently offer 12,000 titles and the number is growing. As a big fan of video games and a huge movie buff, I'm definitely going to have to jump on board. As I understand it you have to be a subscriber to xbox live as well as Netflix in order to take advantage of this service. I already have xbox live and I'm planning on trying the netflix free trial just to make sure I'm going to like it. This has the potential to expand the xboxs customer base beyond gamers.
The xbox360 is an awesome little machine. It's definitely become an integral part in our entertainment center. I'm curious how Netflix goes. I would have signed up for the free trial, but they make you go through the whole process, and then tell you to hop on a computer and sign up.
It was little frustrating, but I think we'll give it a try at some point. Let me know what you think of the service if you have a chance to try it before I do. It seems really cool.
