Sony has finally, after long last, dropped the price of the Playstation 3. It took long enough! They are dropping the price of the 80GB model by $100, and dropping the 40GB model all together. Thanks Sony!
The Playstation 3 is a sweet machine, but has long been viewed as way too expensive for a gaming console. Will the new price increase their sales? Maybe, but I'm betting on a game to come out which requires the heavy duty hardware inside that beast to cause a surge in sales.
