Mass Effect is a Sci Fi RPG brought to you by Bioware, the team responsible for Knights of the Old Republic and Jade Empire. I have not played these two games, but I know Bioware has built quite a name for themselves off of the popularity of those titles. Mass Effect has garnered a massive amount of hype because of the talent involved, as well as its promise to bring next gen gaming to a whole new level. Rather than take you on a predetermined journey you are allowed to make dialog choices that effect how the overall quest plays out. These choices effect what people think of you, and how they react to you. It really puts you into the shoes of the main character and lets you manipulate the quest. You have the ability to make choices in the name of righteousness or commit evil deeds.
I just bought the game yesterday and played it for not even a half an hour, so I really can't right up a proper review yet. I just wanted to write up a little introduction to the game before I dive into it further.
That sounds cool - definitely give us an update as you get further into the game.
Supposedly they sold well over 200,00 copies of this game in the first week, not bad huh?
