I heard on NPR's Marketplace radio show today that the Nintendo Wii now has a greater market share than the Xbox 360, by just a hair. Something like 41% to 40.5%, while the Playstation 3 has a meager 17%. Congratulations Nintendo, that is an amazing accomplishment considering what a bully Microsoft is known to be, as well as the fact that the Xbox 360 has been out for a much longer time.
Based on the reports I've heard about there not being enough Wii's available to fill the demand for them, I'm under the impression that the Nintendo Wii will capture more of the marketplace within the coming months.
UPDATE: Here's an article with links to data resources on the subject of the Wii versus the XBox:

NPD has placed the Wii as the top-selling console in America every month this year. However, because the Xbox 360's core audience in the United States, the Wii still trails in terms of total units sold in the US alone. Contrarily, in Japan the Wii is outselling the Xbox 360 each month by margins of as much as four-to-one.
I must say that I have to give credit where credit is due. I am mainly an xbox fan, but I must give Nintendo props. They started off as the underdogs, but managed to outsell the PS3 and 360. Bravo.
The real accomplishment here is outselling the 360 - its been on the market a lot longer than both the PS3 and the wii.
